Our festive season is in full swing from family get-togethers and office parties to afternoon teas with mulled wine and final planning for Hogmanay. It’s about this time of the year that we reflect on the year passed and what better way to illustrate the exciting year we have had at Rufflets than through a collection of moments captured by the team.

Our Hogmanay house party is always a memorable couple of days and welcoming in 2019 was no exception. We still have a couple of rooms remaining for this year’s Hogmanay House Party!
During the hotel’s annual closure we also completed a re-decoration project in the Garden Suite.
Another cold snap and rumours the ‘Beast from the East‘ was making a return to St Andrews. We didn’t let the wintry weather stand in our way – it was a busy month with our Wedding Fayre which returns on Sunday 23rd February, 2020.
We celebrated a later Pancake Day in March, launched a competition to win Mother’s Day afternoon, and joined The Good Dog Guide! We also unveiled our new and colourful Spring menus.
Easter was the perfect occasion to spend time with family and friends enjoying afternoon tea, high tea and our annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The sunnier and warmer weather was an opportunity to create delicious sharing platters to enjoy on the terrace!
The summer months are our among our most popular for weddings and in particular outdoor ceremonies and celebrations. The gardens always provide a stunning backdrop. Our 10 acres of grounds and gardens are also loved by the dogs that come to stay. Our pet-friendly rooms are ideal if you are travelling with your four-legged friends. Make sure you follow us on Facebook for an opportunity to enter our competitions through the year. This month lucky winners were able to enjoy Sunday lunch for four!
Lots more beautiful weddings and incredible produce arriving from the kitchen garden daily! July was all about the delicious fresh fruits especially the strawberries.
The end of the summer is the time we think about our new Autumnal menus not only in Seasons but throughout the hotel to ensure we are making the most of our fresh garden produce and seasonal ingredients.
The kitchen team were out and about demonstrating at the Dundee Flower & Food Festival at the start of September and we were chatting to Sophie at the Pittenweem Chocolate Factory. Our blog puts a spotlight on some of our suppliers through the year.
Another busy month! It was time for our Wedding Open Day on 13th October and a month for celebrations as Rufflets scooped Luxury Hotel of the Year in the The Hotel Awards Scotland 2019.
Top chefs and food and drink businesses from in and around St Andrews, including our own kitchen team join forces in November to offer a real flavour of the famous golf, university and tourist town to visitors and residents during Savour St Andrews.
We love being recognised for all our hard work and this month we were voted ‘Accommodation of The Year’ by Drumgolf – thank you!
